Information Form & Contract

This form is provided to better evaluate potential new families for Heartstrings Pomeranians puppies to help you better understand what I do as a professional breeder and to explain the responsibilities of any new owner of one of my babies. To be considered as a prospective new owner and to be added to the waiting list, all questions on this form must be answered. Once you decide to purchase a Heartstrings Pomeranians, for my records, you will be required to physically sign the printed for you completed. I carefully evaluate the quality of each puppy and sell each as either pet, breeding or show quality puppies. Once I evaluate the puppy, it is sold as that quality at my discretion only. Pet quality puppies are sold on a limited registration only.

Heartstrings Pomeranians vaccinates our puppies beginning at 6 weeks of age and then every 4 weeks until the age of 16 weeks of age. Puppies are not able to leave our care before thay are 10 weeks of age and have had 2 sets of shots. At 2 weeks of age, we begin worming the puppies with Strongid-T. Strongid-T is very safe and rids the puppies? system of roundworms and hookworms. We use no other wormer for our puppies. Once a puppy is purchased, you will have 72 hours to have the puppy examined by the vet of your choice. Should that vet find the puppy to be unhealthy, you must contact Kimberly A. Griggs at (903) 477-2625 on the day of the office visit. After speaking directly with me, the puppy must be returned to Heartstrings Pomeranians within 24 hours with a written explanation from your vet of your vet?s findings. If the puppy is not returned within 96 hours of purchase for our vet to examine, you will be solely responsible for the cost of the treatment required and no refund will be given. We have no control as to where you take your new puppy once it leaves our care, so it is up to you to protect your baby from health problems other animals might have. The puppy must have 4 full sets of shots before it is protected. Please remember vaccines do not offer 100% protection against any disease or illness. Until your puppy reaches 10 months of age, it is susceptible to viruses and bacteria that can cause illness or even death. Poms are small dogs and cannot tolerate extended periods of loose stools as they quickly become dehydrated and may die. Poms can also suffer from hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and sugar or Nutra Stat must be given quickly or death can result. Pet quality puppies are sold only with a spay/neuter agreement. This procedure must be done by six months of age and a copy signed by your vet must be sent to Heartstrings Pomeranians before the puppy?s six month birthday. There are no exceptions to this condition of sale. Not adhering to the above will result in a breach of contract and the puppy will become the property of Heartstrings Pomeranians at 181 days of age. This is to protect the quality of the breed in the future and is strictly enforced.  Any breeding quality puppy who may have a genetic defect such as a retained testicle are to be returned to Heartstrings Pomeranians for replacement before one year of age. Should you choose to keep you pom, a refund of the difference between the price you paid and the pet price will be refunded and only after a certificate of spay or neuter signed by your vet and a statement from American Kennel Club showing the registration status is changed to "Limited" registration is received by Heartstrings Pomeranians. This must be completed within the first year of birth or no refund will be given.  Luxcating patellas can be a problem in poms. To reduce the chances of loose patellas, it is recommended that jumping on or off furniture not be allowed and weight is kept under control as the extra weight will weaken the knees. These are the two things you should do to protect your pom from suffering later in life.  If you purchase a Heartstrings Pomeranians, the American Kennel Club paper will be mailed on the 5^th day after purchase. We allow this time for you to get the puppy examined by your vet. Please contact me as soon as the puppy has seen your vet.
